Participate in creative strategies to create a drama
This standard asks you to work with a group to create an original drama from scratch through improvisation and experimentation (called "devising"). You'll use drama elements like role, tension, and mood, plus drama conventions like still images or hot seating, and show you can collaborate well with your group to build something that connects with an audience.
You actively participate in creating a drama with your group, using some drama elements and conventions, and perform it to an audience.
You contribute ideas to the devising process, deliberately select and experiment with different elements and conventions to shape the drama in purposeful ways, and show strong collaboration with your group.
You negotiate and extend ideas within the group, use elements and conventions in ways that are carefully chosen to create a coherent and unified drama, and demonstrate mature collaborative relationships that support everyone's creative input.
