Perform a group dance
This standard asks you to perform in a group dance (with at least 3 other dancers) and show that you can execute the choreography with control and connection. You need to demonstrate technical skills like clear movements, correct timing, and proper spacing with the group, plus the ability to express the emotional and dynamic qualities of the dance. It's about being able to dance precisely while also staying aware of your fellow performers and what your dancing communicates to the audience.
You perform the choreography with generally accurate movements, timing, and spacing; you demonstrate basic technical control and maintain focus while dancing with others.
You perform with solid control of technical requirements, interpret the dynamic qualities intentionally, and show sensitivity and awareness of the other dancers in the group.
You perform with adept technical execution, interpret the expressive aspects of the dance fully, understand how your part contributes to the whole, and project genuine connection and energy to the audience.
