Demonstrate understanding of a variety of extended written and/or visual Cook Islands Māori texts
AS 91541 is a 5-credit Level 3 (Year 13) Cook Islands Māori reading standard. Students read three written or visual texts in Cook Islands Māori and answer questions about them. The 2025 exam used a message exchange between friends about NCEA results, a school fundraiser flyer with follow-up messages, and an article about marine conservation. Students need to show they understand what the texts say, pick out the right information, and explain what it means — including things that are implied but not directly stated.
