Evaluate conflicting nutritional information relevant to well-being in New Zealand society
You need to look at conflicting nutritional information (like different articles about red meat) and decide which sources are credible, what their hidden intentions are, and how this affects New Zealand society's health and wellbeing. This means using critical thinking tools to spot when information might be misleading, then explaining why some advice is trustworthy and some isn't.
You analyse at least two pieces of information, draw conclusions linking them to wellbeing, show some of your own nutrition knowledge, and identify the intent behind the sources.
You explain the credibility and intent across all the information, apply your nutrition knowledge to show impacts on New Zealand society holistically, and analyse the underlying intentions in depth.
You critically analyse all the information using several credibility tools, challenge at least two misleading messages with justified reasons, and demonstrate confident application of your classroom knowledge to conclude which sources are trustworthy.
