This standard asks you to perform hands-on acid-base titrations (chemical experiments where you mix solutions to find unknown concentrations) and solve calculation problems using molar relationships. You'll collect real experimental data, process it carefully, and use chemistry formulas to work through multi-step problems involving amounts, concentrations, and molar masses.
You collect acceptable titration data (three results within 0.4 mL range, average within 0.8 mL of expected value) and solve one-step calculation problems using the standard relationships correctly.
You collect tighter titration data (three results within 0.4 mL range, average within 0.5 mL of expected value), use only your best concordant results, and solve multi-step problems that require you to apply molar relationships in sequence.
You collect very precise titration data (three results within 0.2 mL range, average within 0.2 mL of expected value), solve complex multi-step problems using stoichiometry, and consistently include correct units and significant figures in all answers.
