Produce working drawings to communicate production details for a complex design
This achievement standard asks you to create a set of working drawings (like blueprints or technical drawings) that show exactly how a complex product or building design would be put together or built. You'll use different drawing types, views, and techniques to communicate all the details someone would need to actually construct or assemble your design, whether you draw by hand or use computer software.
You select adequate views and modes, include conventional working drawing types (plans, elevations, sections), show some understanding of drawing conventions, and communicate basic construction or assembly details with materials identified.
You produce a complete, precisely dimensioned set of linked drawings with accurate line work and strong application of conventions, presenting drawings that clearly explain construction and assembly details as a solution to a design problem.
You demonstrate excellent and consistent use of drawing conventions and standards, carefully selecting all necessary views and drawing modes that comprehensively and clearly communicate detailed construction or assembly information, creating a cohesive professional set of working drawings.
