Analyse a physical skill performed by self or others
NZQA suppresses grade rates for low-cohort standards.
You need to take a discrete physical skill (like a basketball shot, golf swing, or swimming stroke) and break it down into parts using biomechanical principles to explain how it works. You then use that analysis to give feedback or suggestions to help the performer improve. This can be your own performance or someone else's.
You break the skill into parts, explain them using biomechanical principles, and give basic feedback on how to improve.
You explain in depth how the different biomechanical principles work together and relate to each other to improve the skill, then use that fuller understanding to give more detailed feedback.
You identify which parts of the skill matter most for performance and analyse what factors affect whether the person can actually improve—showing you understand both the technique and the bigger picture of what influences their learning.
Standards typically taken alongside or after this one. Same subject, grouped by level.
