Implement basic procedures using textile materials to make a specified product
You'll make a textile product (like a bag, cushion, or piece of clothing) by following a set of techniques and instructions carefully. You need to show that your finished product meets the specifications you were given, test it to prove it works properly, and follow health and safety rules while you work.
- ·Follow a step-by-step set of textile techniques (measuring, cutting, shaping, joining, finishing) to make your product exactly as specified
- ·Carry out appropriate tests on your finished product to prove it meets the requirements (like checking measurements, fit, or performance)
- ·Work safely and follow health and safety regulations throughout the making process
- ·Complete the work with reasonable independence and accuracy (for Merit and Excellence levels)
